A Swedish court has sentenced a Somali man to four years in prison after he forced his 13-year-old daughter to undergo circumcision. Swedish citizen Ali Elmi Hayow, 41, held his daughter down as she underwent the procedure. He denies all charges.

In a research study titled "Emotional Contagion", scientists revealed that emotions can be transmitted to subsequent receivers as fast as the blink of the eye, according to a study findings published in The Washington Post. Elaine Hatfield, a professor of psychology at the University of Hawaii and co-author of the study, says that emotions whether positive or negative are passed from person to person without even the notice of the receiver.

A school in Sweden won't allow book borrowing to pupils who enter the library with their underwear showing. Students at Tullbro School in Falkenberg don't have to don a uniform yet librarians are putting their foot down when it comes to some teenage fashions.

Stockholm police are investigating the local chapter of biker gang Hell's Angels for alleged fraud. Police are noticing that the same doctor certified 70 percent of the gang as depressed. As a result, reports Reuters, they are receiving state benefits for their "illness. "

A German zoo is still scratching their head as they attempt to figure out how to get six gay penguins to mate with females within the species. The females were flown in from Sweden last year in attempt to get the six penguins to mate. However, the female Humboldt penguins are too shy to make the first move, according to Heike Kueck, the German zoo director.
