Charges haven yet to be filed in a June 18 assault case where one man reportedly bit the ear off another during an argument over a dog. Lake County Sheriff's Deputy Tony Aas reports an argument ensued between the two men after a dog started running around the picnic grounds. A 43-year-old man became upset when the dog started swimming and running on the beach.

A man finds a unique way to propose to his girlfriend, by setting himself on fire before dropping on one knee and asking her hand in marriage. Todd Grannis, 38, climbed a 10-foot scaffold, set himself on fire, wearing a gasoline-soaked cape, and jumped into a swimming pool. After he emerged, he approached his girlfriend, got on one knee, and proposed saying, "Honey, you make me hot. I hope I'm getting the point across that I'm on fire for you. "

A man is arrested by authorities who claim he was interferring, after saving a swimmer caught in swirling river currents. Dave Newman disobeyed repeated orders to leave the water. After rescuing the swimmer, he was charged with interferring with public duties. After Abed Duamni, 35 of Houston, Texas thanked Newman for saving his life in front of the police, he was taken into custody and later released on $2,000 bail.
