Fed up with seeing cigarette butts on the streets, Sydney, Australia has put together a "Butt Force" or "Butt Busters" to clean-up the problem. Reuters reports the team of 30 plain-clothed rangers will patrol the city's streets in an effort to crackdown on litter.

A nudist suffered burns to one-fifth of his body after he tried to set a spider on fire while naked in a resort near the Australian city of Bowral, near Sydney. An ambulance service spokesperson said, the 56-year-old victim tried to kill what he thought was a deadly funnel web spider by pouring gasoline down the spider's burrow and lighting it with a match.

A young girl is in serious condition after having been pecked several times by a rooster near her family's farm in rural Australia. Doctor Claire Helm said the rooster's beak penetrated the 4-year-old girl's airway, causing a life-threatening injury. According to reports, the girl had been pecked three times by the animal. The wound to the throat had disabled the little girl.

A snake was found in a Sydney Airport women's toilet presumably after a reptile smuggler chickened out in transporting the slithering reptile by customs officers. The snake, identified as a non-venomous 3-foot long green tree python native to South-East Asia, startled a bathroom attendant who was cleaning a ladies toilet on Sunday afternoon.
