A drought in Australia has forced thirsty snakes looking for water to migrate from the parched countryside into urban areas. Officials say it is the worst drought there in a century. Many of the snakes are poisonous and pose a threat to people. Eastern Brown snakes are among the most poisonous of the world's snakes. A 16-year-old boy in Sydney was bitten by an Eastern Brown snake and died of a heart attack shortly after, officials said.

Well, at least he didn't end up in Colorado. A young German man accidentally booked a ticket to Sidney, Montana in the United States, rather than to Sydney, Australia where his girlfriend was waiting for him. The 21-year-old man, Tobi Gutt, ended up over 8,000 miles off course and was stuck in the freezing cold of Montana for over three days with only a suitcase of summer clothes intended for his trip to Australia.

About 700,000 people in Australia told police they should not be fined for speeding because they were not driving the car at the time. Hundreds of them also listed dead people as the actual drivers. After launching an investigation, police found that hundreds of people named the same dead man from West Sydney or they blamed drivers from out of state for speeding in their vehicles to avoid fines.

A 90-year-old Swedish man faces a fine for buying sexual favor, which is illegal in Sweden. According to a police official, the elderly man was identified among customers who last year had visited a brothel.

Australian power supplier, Energy Australia, is asking the public to stop singing while taking a shower in an attempt to save on electricity and water. The company said singing while taking a bath adds an extra 9. 08 minutes to shower bath and shower time. It listed activities such as singing, daydreaming, shaving and other "nonessential activities" in the shower, are adding to power bills and contribute to global warming.
