Utah Bars No Longer Charging Membership Fees For Liquor Drinkers
Bars and restaurants serving alcohol in Utah ended the practice of charging membership fees to beer, cocktail or wine drinkers as part of a new liquor law that took effect Wednesday. The new law aims to attract more customers, diners and tourists to the state's bar clubs and restaurants. It will also end incidents of visitors walking out of restaurants upon learning they have to pay membership fees.
Venezuela Bans Coke Zero Citing Drink's Danger To Health
Soft drink maker Coca-Cola pulled its sugar-free Coke Zero from stores in Venezuela on Thursday on the order of the country's health ministry, which said the product is unsafe to consumers. "This product must be taken off the market to safeguard Venezuelans' health" as it has "an ingredient that can be harmful to people," Health Minister Jesus Mantilla was quoted by Agence France-Presse as telling the state's news agency ABN.

Apple Rejects Application That Replaces Jesus Christ's Face
Apple Inc. has rejected an iPhone application that puts a person's face within a religious figure, including Jesus Christ, finding it objectionable. The application called "Me So Holy" was rejected because it does not conform with Apple's iPhone agreement provision against obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory content or materials of any kind, the unnamed app developer said in a blog on Monday, according to Businessinsider.com.

A father from an indigenous Mexican community in California has been arrested and charged with selling his 14-year-old daughter for marriage. The groom also has been arrested and may be charged with statutory rape. Marcelino de Jesus Martinez, 36, will be arraigned Wednesday in Monterey County Superior Court after prosecutors charged him with violating a state law against causing a person to cohabitate in exchange for money.
