Supreme Court Orders Examination Of Janet Jackson's Infamous 'Wardrobe Malfunction'

The Supreme Court on Monday ordered a federal appeals court to re-examine its earlier ruling in favor of CBS Corp over Janet Jackson's infamous wardrobe malfunction at the 2004 Super Bowl.

The Supreme Court ordered the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia to consider reinstating the $550,000 fine that the Federal Communications Commission imposed on CBS over Jackson's breast-baring halftime performance.

WW I Explosives, Munitions Found On Two NY, NJ Beaches To Be Removed

A recent beach replenishment project resulted in munitions and explosives dating to World War I being deposited on beaches of two municipalities in Long Island, NY and NJ, government officials are paying $13.6 million to have them removed.

About 1,100 munitions and explosives were found on the Surf City and Ship Bottom beaches prior to the summer of 2007. They were reportedly deposited there during a 2006-2007 beach replenishment project.

A man in Philadelphia, Pa. shot another man in the arm at a movie theater, presumably because the victim and his family were talking during the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

James Joseph Cialella, 29, was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and a weapons violation, according to a report from the Philadelphia Police Department.

Man Lives Nine Years With Surgical Needle In His Stomach

A South African man was awarded $6,112 by a court after living with a surgical needle in his stomach for nine years.

According to the Independent Online, Jacob Makeke, 48 was hospitalized after being kicked in the stomach by a cow while working as a farm laborer in 1996. Following a necessary abdominal surgery, Makeke continued to experience pain and vomiting and was treated as an outpatient until finally, in 2005, with pain so bad he couldn't work well, he went to the Groblersdal Hospital where an x-ray picked up the needle that was left behind in the 1996 surgery.

The mastermind of a stolen body parts operation plead guilty to hundreds of counts of abusing corpses, committing forgery, theft and other allegations in Philadelphia Friday after being sentenced in New York for the same crimes.

Michael Mastromarino, 44, of Fort Lee, N.J., a former oral surgeon was caught trafficking body parts and tissue for transplants and donations with out the consent of the families of the deceased, and with out screening the tissues for disease.
