Some just have the luck, while others simply don't. New Hampshire Sen. Judd Gregg is one of them, having won a $853,000 piece of the $340 million jackpot after having bought his ticket on a whim.

Gregg, a 58-year-old Republican from Rye, New Hampshire, announced his lucky win at a news conference on Thursday. The Politician says he usually doesn't play the lottery, but was intrigued by the huge jackpot and dropped $20 worth of numbers at a gas station in Washington, D.C.
