Student Solves Rubik's Cube in Record Time
A 20-year-old California Institute of Technology student set a new world's record Saturday for solving the popular Rubik's Cube puzzle -- he lined up the colors on the braintwisting cube in 11.13 seconds. His quick time beat the previous record by more than half a second -- it was set by Frenchman Jean Pons at the Dutch Open competition last year.
Man Finds High School Ring After 47 Years
A Buffalo, N.Y., man has been reunited with his 1958 Sloan High School class ring that had been on the bottom of Lake Erie for 47 years. Ron Witkowski lost his 1958 Sloan High School ring in an embarrassing fashion. Witkowski -- then 17 -- and a buddy were swimming at Sherkston-Elco Beach in Ontario when his friend lost his contact lenses. A week later, the two teens decided to drop Witkowski's ring in the water in the same spot to track where the current might have carried the lenses. They never found the ring or the lenses.

Large Amounts Of Food Stolen In String Of Restaurant Robberies
Orlando police are investigating a string of bizarre threats involving food. Authorities say someone stole frozen chickens, ducks and even a pig from two restaurants. Police think the culprits may be stealing the food for someone else's restaurant business or store. Two Chinese restaurants have been raided in near copycat fashion, with the freezers stripped.
Angry Mob Prevents Rescue Crew From Helping Accident Victim
South Florida police and fire officials were unable to properly treat a young accident victim, after witnesses nearby form an angry mob. According to officials, the driver of a red Chevy Blazer struck a 6 year-old boy around 6 o'clock Wednesday evening in Miami, Florida.
