Swans Cause Traffic Back-Up By Taking Leisurely Stroll
There's nothing more pleasant than taking a nice leisurely stroll during a hot summer day. A family of swans did just that yesterday, although their leisurely stroll through a major highway in Cardiff, Wales caused a major traffic back-up. According to the Daily Mail, cars and trucks were halted at a standstill while the family of birds waddled across the street during morning rush hour.

Australian police pull over two boys, aged 10 and 6, who drove nearly 62 miles on a highway. Reuters reports the boys were trying to surprise their grandfather with a visit when they were spotted by truck drivers, who contacted police.

Georgia, 24, a South Wales woman has set up websites to find dates for her mother Vicki, 54, and her sister Corrie, 27. Writing about her sisters qualities on website, she said: "I have set up this website because my sister is unlucky in love. She is a great person with a massive heart and she deserves better than who she can choose."
12-Yr Old Wins $25K In Geography Bee
Twelve-year-old Bonny Jain garnered the top prize in 2006 the National Geographic Bee, bagging for himself a cool $25,000. The BBC reports that the eighth-grader from Moline, Illinois, won a $25,000 college scholarship by correctly naming the mountains that extend across much of Wales, from the Irish Sea to the Bristol Channel.
Man Lost Job Over Losing His Hair
A man who cut off his hair after losing a bet, now lost his job too. Jason Brooks, who hails from Wales, shaved his locks into a Mohawk as penalty for losing a bet with a friend. However the new 'do didn't sit well with his boss. Brooks says, "The deal was if I lost I would shave the hair on my head into a mohican style and have a waxing. I lost. And as a man of my word I went through with it. I just can't believe I have had the sack."
