California Sea Lions Disturbing Boaters, Sink Sailboat

Jerry Dunlap spent more than a year fixing up his 1910 dream sailboat, only to have 15 hefty sea lions sink the 50-foot craft in just one weekend.

"I really don't know what I'm going to do with it," said Dunlap, a contractor. "This is a major setback. I'm 63, I don't know if I feel like working another two years to get a boat to work."

Sean Penn's Boat Sinks In Failed Katrina Rescue Attempt

Political Activist and Actor Sean Penn made his way down to the city of New Orleans with a personal photographer and an entourage in an attempt to help victims stranded by floods caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Penn had planned to rescue children and adults in the flood waters, but apparently forgot to plug a hole in the bottom of the vessel, which began taking water within seconds of its launch.

Nine Women Unofficially Ordained in Catholic Ceremony

Despite disapprovement by church officials, nine Catholic women were unofficially ordained as priests and deacons near Ottawa, Canada. The ceremony was conducted aboard a tour boat.

Of the nine women, seven were Americans. Two unofficial female bishops from Austria and Germany performed the ordinations.
