Nepal Requires Pocketless Uniform On Airport Workers To Stop Bribe-Taking

Nepal's airport workers have been accused of taking bribes from travelers prompting the government to require them to wear uniform without pockets to stop the malpractice.

The anti-corruption agency Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has directed the ministry of civil aviation to implement the new uniform policy as soon as possible after it learned of the widespread corruption at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport.

A pilot flying Continental Flight 61, from Brussels to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, died in midair. The jet was successfully landed without further incident by two flight officers.

Continental Express flew two kids traveling alone to wrong destinations over the weekend prompting complaints from the young passengers' parents. The kids arrived hours late to the right destinations after rebooking.

Taylor Williams, 8, of College Station, Texas was put on a flight from Bush Intercontinental Airport to Charlotte, North Carolina to visit his father, but the boy arrived in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday.
