Failed Rescue Of Bear With Head Stuck In Jar Forces Killing
Police, with the approval of wildlife experts, have shot a black bear that accidentally stuck a plastic jug on its head when the animal strayed into the community of Frazee during the town's turkey festival. In a statement issued Wednesday, a bear expert at the Department of Natural Resources said they allowed police to kill the bear on Saturday because the animal came close to people. An estimated 1,500 people were in Frazee to celebrate Turkey Day.
Police Nab Dead Turkey When Responding To Break-In
Police here got the surprise of their lives Sunday when they discovered a dead turkey when responding to a break-in at a business establishment. Officer Paula Hensell was conducting her regular patrol Sunday morning when she spotted the front window of one of the businesses was broken.

A farm in Devon, England has prepared the largest Christmas dinner - a roast turkey stuffed with 11 smaller birds, enough to feed 125 people at a cost of $1,336. Dubbed as the True Love Roast, the turkey contains a goose filled with a chicken, then a pheasant and small ducks.

A 5-year old boy aimed and shot dead a 445-pound bear while on a hunting trip with his grandfather Sunday. Tre Merritt, the toddler and hunter, recounted his experience while he was up on a tree stand with his grandfather Mike and saw the bear come into view.
Champion Eater Raises Awareness For Those Who Go Hungry
A man devoured a ten-person feast in fifteen minutes, in an attempt to raise awareness for those who go hungry in New York City. Competitive eating champion Tim Janus devoured 4.5 kilograms of turkey, 1.8 kilograms of mashed potatoes, 1.4 kilograms of cranberry sauce, 1.1 kilograms of beans, and an entire pumpkin pie for dessert. "What's so important about today is that it begins to full my stomach up and I can now leave a little more for everybody else," Janus said.
