Man Falls From Niagara Falls, Survives

An unidentified man fell from the Niagara Falls Wednesday but survived despite a head injury and nearly 45 minutes of exposure to freezing water.

A witness saw the man in his mid-30s enter the rapids at 2:15 p.m. and go over the Horseshoe Falls dropping 184 feet into the river below the massive waterfalls, according to the Toronto police. The river's strong currents ripped off the shirt of the man.

A Pennsylvania firm that monitors peer-to-peer file sharing networks has discovered that sensitive information about the U.S. presidential helicopter have been transferred to a computer in Iran.

Employees of the Cranberry Township-based Tiversa found engineering and communications information about Marine One at an IP address in Tehran. The file was traced back to its source, a defense contractor in Bethesda, Maryland.

International Naval Force Rescues Chinese Vessel From Pirates

An international naval force has prevented the hijacking of a Chinese vessel in the Gulf of Aden by driving away pirates with helicopter gunfire.

All 30 crew members of the MV Zhen Hua-4 owned by the China Communications Construction Co. were not harmed during Tuesday's hijacking attempt as they locked themselves inside cabins and from there radioed for help. The 10 pirates fled uninjured.

The Alaskan governor thought she was talking on the phone to President Nicolas Sarkozy during a six-minute radio conversation aired on a Montreal radio station.
