A Tunisian woman is set to break the world record for the most number of babies delivered by a mother as she was confirmed to be pregnant with a dozen babies. The female teacher from Gafsa in central Tunisia is expecting six boys and six girls, according to Dr. Mark Hamilton, of the British Fertility Society.
California Traffic Piles Up After Man Tosses Cash From Window
A man tossed cash from his car in Los Angeles and a traffic jam followed as other drivers stopped to pick up the loot. California Highway Patrol officers arrived on the scene where about 10 people were out of their cars, attempting to gather up the loose cash on the westbound 210 Freeway near Grand Avenue Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Storm Clouds Found Over Saturn Moon's Equator
U.S. astronomers have detected a cloud of storm hovering above the Saturn moon Titan's arid equator. The findings published in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature was made possible through the telescope at the Gemini North Observatory, located atop the Mauna Kea mountain in Hawaii. Astronomers saw the two-million-square-mile storm clouds in April 2008.
Spitzer Telescope Sees Rare Planet Collision 100 Light-Years Away
NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope has detected a rare collision of two small planets orbiting a young star 100 light-years away, astronomers announced Monday. The telescope managed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California caught the collision of the Moon-sized rock and Mercury-sized planet a few thousand years ago in the far southern constellation Pavo, or the Peacock, where the 12-million-year-old star HD 172555 is located.
California Woman Wins Almost $2 Million On Way To Work
A California woman won nearly $1.65 million in a five-cent slot machine when she stopped by a casino on her way to work. Susan Nott, 54, of Auburn, played the Wizard of Oz-themed nickel slot machines for a half an hour before she won $1,648,076.81 at the Thunder Valley Casino, in Lincoln, the Sacramento Bee reported.
