Catherine Zeta-Jones was paid a staggering $5,700 a second to star in a shampoo commercial. The Oscar-winning actress earned $2.5 million for the seven-minute TV advertisement for haircare product Lux, which will only be broadcast in China and Japan. An executive at Unilever, the firm behind the commercial, told Britain's The Sunday Times newspaper: "We wanted Catherine as we remember her in 'Entrapment, all slinky and mysterious."

Golf Balls From Inside Snake Sell For $1,253
Golf balls swallowed by and extracted from a snake were placed for sale on eBay, with the highest bid totalling $1,401 Australian, or $1,253 US. The four balls which were taken from inside a carpet python at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary last week were posted for sale on the online auction, still unwashed. The winner will also receive X-rays and photographs of Augusta, the python, with the balls still inside, and after the balls were taken out by surgery.
Poll Reveals Interesting Grown-Up Christmas Wishes
A recent poll done by ABC News disclosed some interesting wishes that adults had for Santa Claus this Christmas season. The results showed wishes that would be considered expected and usual, as well as humanitarian wishes such as love and peace. And there were some that were more than a bit unusual, such as teeth. The survey revealed that ten percent of Americans wished for a new car - a notable 6 percent decrease from the numbers gathered during the 2005 holiday season. Six percent wanted cash, reported the UPI. It ranged from "10 million dollars," "$300,000 wrapped in ribbon," to "financial security" as suggested by a Minneapolis woman who said, "I'd like to have my bills paid off."
Couple Gets Hitched In A Haunted House, Chooses Spooky Theme
Days before Halloween, a Berea, Ohio couple decides to get hitched in a theme fit for ghouls, witches and zombies. Tina Milhoane and Robert Seifer III, both in their 20s, were married Wednesday at the entrance to the 7 Floors of Hell haunted house's outdoor cemetery. They promised to live in marital bliss in a ceremony held at their place of work, which they also considered their second home.
