Unusual 9-1-1 Call Let Police About Two Elephants Roaming In His Neighborhood

The 9-1-1 dispatcher in Canada was surprised to receive a call from a man in north of Toronto informing him about two elephants wandering through his neighbourhood early Thursday morning.

It was later found that the massive giants, named Bunny and Suzy, had escaped from a circus at about 3 a.m. in Newmarket, a town of 75,000 people near Toronto. The pachyderms, who perform at the Ray Twinney Complex with the Garden Bros. Circus, were strolling around freely munching on trees, shrubs and flowers.

Stolen Gift Found Under Tree In Security Guard's Home

One police officer didn't know if people should call him the grinch after arresting a man for stealing Christmas gifts for his "Honey Bunny."

Richard Perez, 43 was caught stealing items from the hotel where he works as a security guard. A surveillance camera caught him leaving a hotel room with a covered cart.

Animal Shelter Bans Black Cat And White Bunny Adoptions

An Idaho animal shelter have banned the adoption of black cats from mid-October to Halloween for fear they would be mistreated or sacrificed in rituals.

Other shelters nationwide block people from adopting the animals during this time of year. Some shelters also do not do white bunny adoptions around Halloween for the same reasons.

Police Question Blair's Wife For "Slapping" Boy

The wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair was questioned by child protection officials when she only pretended to slap one of the boys.

The incident happened when Cherie Blair was being photographed with teenager Miles Gandolfi at the U.K. Schools Games sports event in Glasgow, Scotland, when the 17-year-old boy in question jokingly raised his hand behind her head to make a "bunny ears" gesture.
