Church Moves To Evict Tenant
The Kingdom Life Christian Church wants to evict its Adult Video store tenant. The church bought the building in 2003 for $245,000 in an effort to force Video Pleasures to close. But owner Michael Friend remained in the building by exercising a three-year lease agreement he had with the previous owners.
Frenchman Drives 11 Miles In The Wrong Direction
A man in France crashed into five other cars and killed one person, after driving the wrong direction for 11 miles. Three others were injured, including two children, when the 66-year-old man continued driving after his first two collisions on Sunday, reports Reuters
Mom's Secret Ingredient Was Bleach
Nancy O'Donnell, 56, is charged with four counts each of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. She is being charged with trying to poison her adult daughter and her family with bleach, which she poured in the Macaroni and cheese served during a Saturday night dinner. O'Donnell's daughter, Victoria Lynn O'Donnell, 24, was preparing dinner around 6:30 p.m. for her live-in boyfriend, Jamal Scott, 30, and their 6-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter, in the home she shares with her mother.
Delinquent Teen Prohibited From Seeing 37-year-old Wife
A 15-year-old boy is ruled delinquent for skipping school to marry a 37-year-old woman who is pregnant with his child. Georgia Juvenile Court Judge Mary Carden also prohibits the teenager from contact with the woman he married. Carden has ordered the teen's probation from a previous burglary sentence be continued as long as he lives under the care of another relative - but not his grandmother, Judy Hayles, his former guardian.
Some Feel Slogan Shirts Send Wrong Message
A new line of t-shirts being sold by Abercrombie and Fitch are reportedly causing some controversy. The shirts, marketed to teenage girls, bear slogans such as "Give me something to scream about," "I had a nightmare I was a brunette," and "I'd look great on you."
