The latest venture by Honda Motor Co. involves a dog-friendly car design. The W.O.W. Concept, which stands for "wonderful openhearted wagon," is an exhibition model with no plans for commercial sale.

The model will be exhibited at the Tokyo auto show later this month. A special crate for dogs in the glove compartment allows owners to interact with their pets while driving. A bigger crate pops up from the floor in the back seat area and can be folded back into the floor when it's not needed. Even bigger dogs can be buckled up with a special seat belt from the floor.

Delegates to the annual World Toilet Summit in Northern Ireland's capital deliberate on crucial issues like anti-social activities in rest rooms, portable toilets, and amenities for the blind.

Raymond Martin, director of the Irish Toilet Association, says delegates have launched a "Bog Standard Campaign" to advocate better toilets in UK schools. They have also inaugurated Belfast's first public UriLift toilet, a stainless steel urinal that rises hydraulically out of the ground to facilitate male users.

Northeastern State University in Tahlequah crowned 71-year-old graduate student Muriel Saunders as their Homecoming Queen last weekend.

Saunders, from Muskogee, Oklahoma, was announced queen during halftime of the game between NSU and East Central. NSU beat East Central 16-to-14 as the crowd cheered.
