Porn queen Mary Carey shows her support for the Republican party by attending Tuesday's President's Dinner, an annual fund raiser hosted by the National Republican Congressional Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Hours before the dinner, Carey meets with reporters, shows off her evening gown, and relates plans to run for lieutenant governor of California next year as an independent. Carey had an unsuccessful stint as candidate during California's last gubenatorial race.
City Pays For Lap Dances
The city of Knoxville, Tennessee paid a private investigator $100 an hour to hit several strip clubs and adult video stores throughout the city to ensure they were adhereing to city regulations according to The Smoking Gun. In a court affidavit, Lundy details the visits, which occured over two nights, Saturday April 23 and Friday April 29, 2005. Lundy describes receiving lap dances at five different clubs; providing explicit details on how at one club, The Mouse's Ear West, he noticed a yellow/green substance on one of the chairs of a table, noting its appearance was consistent with that of acid phosphatase, an enzyme present in human semen.
Ca. Woman Arrested After Police Find Nine People Jammed In Car
Lavern Dunlap was pulled over and arrested Friday after California Highway Patrol found nine people crammed inside her car, including two children in the trunk. Police pulled her over after receiving a call by someone who had seen a woman closing the trunk of her Toyota Corolla with two children inside, as the car sat parked on a shoulder.
Texas to "Tone Down" Sexy Cheerleaders
Legislators in Texas on Tuesday decided to prohibit 'sexually suggestive' performances in schools by enacting a law, reports AFP. The State of Texas is known for its Dallas Cowboy football cheerleaders. The law will eventually ban dance schedules of school cheerleaders and drill teams. Some politicians felt that that the sports events have become like "something out of strip club." According to AFP reports, the legislators are particularly annoyed with exposed midriffs and wearing of shorter shorts and skirts. "Some of them are just downright vulgar, something you would see at an adult club or something," AFP quoted Joe Deshotel, a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives, as saying.
