It has also been alleged that they hired firearms while drunk, sold steroids, ran gambling rings and fell asleep while on duty at Buckingham and St. James' palaces.

Ohio Man Charged With Drunk Driving On Bar Stool

A drunk commodities broker was arrested Saturday after police say he set a freight elevator on fire at 7 World Trade Center in Manhattan, where he worked.

Port Authority Police say 24-year-old Ryan Brinkerhoff went to his office early Saturday morning, around 3 a.m., and got trapped in the elevator.

A survey of 2,500 adult Britons identified the karaoke as the most irritating invention. About 22 percent of survey participants picked the sing-along machine as their top choice.

It was followed by 24-hour sports channels with 17 percent, computer game consoles 12 percent, cellular phones 11 percent and alarm clocks 7 percent.
