Curious Case Of 26-Year-Old Man With Toddler Body
A 26-year-old man trapped in the body of a 2-year-old toddler astonishes pediatricians. Jerly Lyngdoh, whose case is a medical rarity, lives with his parents in Meghalaya in northern India. Lyngdoh was born 26 years ago, but his mind and body are that of a baby between 1 to 2 years old. He measures 33-inches tall and weighs 22 pounds, much like other 2-year-olds, India's Hindustan Times reported.
Young Vegetarians More Likely To Binge Eat, Develop Eating Disorders
A vegetarian diet may be good for you, but researchers say those adopting the meatless lifestyle are at an increased risk of developing an eating disorder. In a study of 2,516 teens and young adults between the ages of 15 and 23 years old, the researchers said people who are or were vegetarians experienced the benefits associated with eating fruits and vegetables, and many in the vegetarian, or former vegetarian, group were less likely to be overweight and obese.
Report Says Office Computers Left Open Overnight Cost Firms $2.8 Billion A Year
Global information technology firm 1E released on Tuesday its 2009 PC Energy Report which showed that office computers left open overnight cost American firms $2.8 billion yearly. The amount is for 108 million unused PCs, which also discharge 20 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. That is equivalent to tailpipe emissions of 4 million vehicles.
Months After Death, Bronx Teen's Death Ruled A Homicide
The death of a 16-year-old girl from the Bronx whose body was misidentified as that of an adult's, has been ruled as a homicide. According to Newsday, the medical examiner's office has determined the death of Tiana Rice as having resulted from an asthma attack brought on while she was being raped.
