Correction: Grandmother Still Adores Her Shooting Passion At 82

Her passion for shotgun shooting is so strong that according to reports, 82-year-old granny, Rita Roherty, won a bronze medal less than a year after she underwent triple bypass surgery. Roherty hit 91 of 100 clay pigeons to take third place in the women's shooting division of the Badger State Games in June.

"When a gun fits you, it don't kick," she said to the Janesville Gazette in reference to one of her pet Browning Lightning 12-gauge over-under shotguns.

Girl's Pajamas Catch Fire After Lightning Strikes

(AHN)-Seven-year-old Emily Holland narrowly escaped death when a powerful lightning bolt struck her bedroom, burning her pajamas as she lay in bed.

The blast, described by witnesses as a fireball, burnt the arm and central stomach area of little girl's cotton pajamas, but Emily miraculously escaped with just a small scorch mark to her arm after the blast missed her head by inches, leaving a four-inch long burn mark through her bedsheet and mattress.

Survivor Saves "Lucky Shirt" After Lightning Hit

A man who survived after being hit by lightening said he will save the shirt he was wearing that day for it was "lucky" for him. Although he is suffering from headaches and chest pain, he said he was glad to be a survivor.

Jason Ward was working in a New Rochelle masonry yard on Friday. He had one hand touching a truck and the other holding a pole when the lightning hit, throwing him seven feet away.

Lightning Kills Two NJ Teens

Two teenagers are dead and two remain in stable condition after they were struck by lightning. Police say the teens were struck while seeking shelter from a storm.

The teenagers, ages 16 to 19, were playing soccer when they saw a nearby lightning strike and tried to come in from the school field where they were playing.

Bunch, a High School senior who was taken to the hospital and then put into the intensive care unit, says, "I woke up and blood was coming out my ears."
