Researchers discovered that people who are mentally fatigued and exercise reach the point of physical exhaustion sooner than they do if they are mentally rested before exercising.

But researchers say the mental fatigue did not cause muscles to perform any differently, instead it was the individual's "perceived effort" of when they had reached exhaustion.

Britain Experiences Worst Snowfall In Almost 20 Years

Large parts of Britain stood still Sunday because of the heavy snowfall that blanketed the country, its worst snowfall in almost two decades.

Advertising Campaign Encourages Atheists To Come Out In The Open

British atheist campaigner and book author Richard Dawkins launched on Tuesday a $204,000 multi-media advertising campaign designed to encourage more nonbelievers to come out in the open.

The national campaign includes posters on bus sides and the tube and screen broadcasts in central London with the slogan "There's probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life." About 200 buses in London and 600 buses that travel across England, Scotland and Wales will bear the slogan Tuesday and Wednesday.

U.K. To Make Paid Sex With A Trafficked Woman A Crime

The British government will publish Wednesday a proposal that would impose stiff penalties on customers of women forced into prostitution. Among the sanctions eyed is a charge of rape, which has a potential life sentence for males caught having paid sex with women who were trafficked or handled by a pimp.

The measure seeks to curb prostitution in the United Kingdom. According to the Metropolitan police, 70 percent of 88,000 women prostitutes in England and Wales are under the control of traffickers.

Boy Bitten By Bat While Trying To Help Dog

A Florida boy was bitten on the finger by a rabid bat while trying to get his dog away from the animal.

The 12-year-old Lake Wales boy is receiving a series of shots to protect him from developing the fatal disease after the bat tested positive for rabies. Although human deaths from rabies are rare in the United States, many wild animals carry the disease, which can be transmitted to family pets and then to their human owners.
