Brother Kenneth Hoagland said in a 2,000-word letter to parents that the "flaunting of affluence" and the "exaggerated expenses" led to his decision.

"It is not primarily the sex/booze/drugs that surround this event, as problematic as they might be; it is rather the flaunting of affluence, assuming exaggerated expenses, a pursuit of vanity for vanity's sake - in a word, financial decadence," says Brother Kenneth M. Hoagland, who claims in the letter to be fed up with what he called the "bacchanalian aspects."

Krystal Long and Casey Isringhouse have won college scholarships, thanks to their ingenious prom outfits, made completely out of duct tape.

The 18-year-olds won a national contest for designing and creating their outfits, which they based on the Pablo Picasso painting, "Girl Before a Mirror."
