Woman Charged With Transporting Heroin-Soaked Underwear

Beijing, China - A Chinese woman was charged with transporting 15 items of underwear soaked in 3.5lbs. of heroin. The woman appeared in a Shanghai court Thursday and pleaded innocent, claiming the underwear was planted in her luggage after two men offered her a job and a plane ticket to Shanghai.

Wang Zhiqin, 42, from Wuhan, capital of China's central province of Hubei, said in court that she had no idea her pink trunk contained panties and long johns that had been soaked in the drug.

Man Claims To Be A Heroin Addict And A Killer To Avoid Jury Duty

Benjamin Ratliffe, 21, made a mockery of the justice system as he tried to wiggle his way out of a jury duty.

According to the judge, Ratliffe said he was a Heroin addict and a killer. Charged with contempt of court, Ratliffe was ordered to spend a night in jail.

Police Find Drugs In Pickled Fish

Custom officers at Adelaide airport in South Australia detained a man who was carrying 2kg (4.4 pounds) of heroin in jars of pickled fish.

According to Reuters report, the 32-year-old man was arrested when officers smelled some fishy of pickled fish pieces inside jars in his luggage.

76-Year-Old Woman Produced And Sold Heroin

A 76-year-old woman accused of producing and selling heroin from her home has been arrested. Esther Gomez had allegedly been selling black-tar heroin out of her home for years.

On Thursday, Gomez was arrested after authorities received information that led to a search warrant. She was charged with possession with intent to deliver and released on a $20,000 bond.

Danish police found more than $1 million worth of heroin that had been smuggled into the country from Pakistan in the hollowed-out blades of 25 antique sword replicas.

The police seized the drugs after raiding the apartment of a British man who had died earlier from a drug overdose along with a woman of unknown nationality in a hotel room in Copenhagen.
