A 51-year-old transit officer Steven Rocher helped a woman by delivering her baby before dawn on Christmas day. Rocher, a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority police sergeant, was driving Tuesday through North Philadelphia when he heard a screaming woman.

British Woman Put On Hold On Telephone Helpline For Eight Hours
A 51-year-old in Britain, who was kept on hold for almost eight hours by a telephone company, finally broke down and started crying out of frustration. Hannah King, whose family was moving from Cardiff to a seafront apartment in Milford Haven, said she had to be prescribed tranquilizers after the incident to calm herself.
Babysitter Leaves Children Alone In Woods To Pose For Nude Pictures
A 20-year-old Syracuse woman accused of leaving four young children in the wild so she could pose for nude photos is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child. The authorities were alerted of situation by a man, who was apparently fishing at the nearby creek, saw them crying. When officers reached the woods near Syracuse's Inner Harbor, the oldest girl, age 6, told them that "Aunt Michelle" went into the woods to take "nasty pictures."
