A police officer under the Philippine National Police-Regional Mobile Group is claiming that a "white lady" or a ghost apparition, has been captured on his mobile phone video. Reports reaching the capital city Manila showed that the police were conducting operations in a remote village in Bacolod City in central Philippines, when one of them took a video of his companions and the mountainous area around noon on Monday.
Sing-Along Machine Tops U.K. Poll Of Most Irritating Inventions
A survey of 2,500 adult Britons identified the karaoke as the most irritating invention. About 22 percent of survey participants picked the sing-along machine as their top choice. It was followed by 24-hour sports channels with 17 percent, computer game consoles 12 percent, cellular phones 11 percent and alarm clocks 7 percent.

The 'mummified' corpse of a 59-year-old woman believed to have died in April last year, was discovered inside her condominium unit in Makati City, Philippines on Tuesday, authorities say. Police say the victim, Zenaida Montoya, was believed to have died several months ago, before her decomposed body was found by her relatives who forced opened her condominium unit.

The health department said the increase in the number of injuries came despite an aggressive campaign, launched by the department, against the use of firecrackers and indiscriminate firing, and the ban of the use of firecrackers to greet the New Year.
Philippine Airline Carrier Issues Free Flight Tickets On Christmas Day
A leading budget carrier in the Philippines, Cebu Pacific, announced free domestic seats to its loyal patrons on Christmas. In a statement, Cebu Pacific said the promo will run from December 25 to 26 or until its 100,000 seats have been sold out and travelers can use their tickets from February 1 to March 18, 2009.
