British Use Screwdrivers And Other Oddball Items To Pick Teeth
A survey released Friday shows more than 60 percent of Britons used makeshift items such as screwdrivers, scissors and earrings to remove food between their teeth. The National Dental Survey found that people used any nearby items to pick their teeth.
Sons Kidnap Father From His Wedding
Three men prevented their father from committing bigamy by kidnapping him from his own wedding, the state-owned Sunday Mail reported. The three men, who accuse their father of neglecting their mother, brandished axes and knives at wedding guests before bundling their father into a car and whisking him away, says Reuters.
Man Severs Own Penis, Throws It At Police
When confronted by police during a Northwest Side rampage, 33-year-old Jakub Fik cut off his own penis, and hurled his severed organ and several knives at the officers. The stunned police officers then stunned Fik with a Taser and took him into custody. Chicago Police Sgt. Edward Dolan of the 16th District says, "We took him out without any serious injury, with the exception of his own."
Couple Fights With Homemade Bombs
Fighting to the death was a real possibility for a couple in Mexico who sparred until their house blew up from a homemade gasoline bomb. Reuters, citing Milenio newspaper, reports that Juan Espinosa and Irma Contreras fired guns, threw knives and threw homemade bombs.
Beer Flows From Norwegian Woman's Tap
A Norwegian woman turned on the taps in her apartment and instead of water, she got beer. Haldis Gundersen tells Reuters, "I turned on the tap to clean some knives and forks and beer came out."
