A 31-year-old man had to be rescued Sunday from a Lebanon, Pennsylvania port-o-potty after getting stuck, naked and waist deep, in the holding tank.

Shannon P. Hunter was drunk when firefighters arrived on the scene. According to the York Daily record, emergency crews had to cut away the toilet around Hunter because he was wedged in tightly. He told them he was drunk and fell in, but only shrugged his shoulders when they asked why he was nude.

The city of Seattle has abandoned a $5 million experiment with self-cleaning public toilets after the facilities were identified as "crime magnets" above all else.

A total of five toilet units are currently installed around the city, and each one was ordered to be shut down by July 1. Each unit had a pair of automated silver doors that opened and closed by themselves. The interior was automatically cleaned between uses.

New York's commuters are up in arms against the five-hour simultaneous closing of all 78 subway toilets from midnight to 5 a.m.

The New York Transit, through spokesman Charles Seaton, defended the new policy implemented the past few weeks, as its way of making the riding public more comfortable by setting exclusive window hours for its maintenance staff to clean the toilets.

The 1998 movie, "Fight Club', based on the book by Chuck Palahniuk, published in 1996, may have seemed far fetched, but it struck a chord with men who say they feel emasculated by the mundaneness of the corporate, high-tech world.

ESPN reported that since 1998, a fight club has been meeting once a month in Cornell educated software engineer, Gints Klimani's, garage. Fifteen men, mostly white, middle-aged technology workers meet to beat each other using fists, toilet seats, and cookie sheets. The group improvises weapons, even stabbing each other with dulled knives.

Consumer magazine Which? has found that computer keyboards can be a home to bacteria that may cause food poisoning symptoms and stomach upsets.

Tests made on 33 keyboards at its office here showed four posed a health risk, with one being host to five times more germs than the office's toilet seats.
