Wheel Falls Off Plane As It Lands In Buffalo

A landing gear wheel fell off a Colgan Airlines passenger plane as the craft came in for a landing at Buffalo Niagara International Airport earlier this week.

The wheel came off a Q400 Bombardier, the same type of plane that crashed three months ago killing 49 passengers and crewmembers, also while approaching the airport in Buffalo, N.Y. That crash also killed one person on the ground.

Noel Gallagher Causes Swine Flu Panic By Sneezing At Venezuelan Airport

Noel Gallagher caused a swine flu panic by sneezing. The Oasis rocker arrived in Venezuela with his bandmates this week and was amazed at how people are reacting to the outbreak of the disease - and was even more shocked when he received a worried telephone call from his mother.

He wrote on his blog: "It's all got a bit mad over here. This swine flu malarky is freaking people out. Landed at Crack'a**e airport yesterday. All the ground staff are wearing those little white face masks! ALL OF THEM. It was like something out of a Stephen King novel. I suddenly feel quite naked without one."

Passenger Jumps Out Of Plane Over Northern Canada

A distressed passenger has forced open the door of a small charter plane flying at 23,000 feet over Cambridge Bay in Canada's arctic region of Nunavut and jumped out without a parachute.

Two pilots and a female passenger failed to prevent the 20-year-old Nunavut man from opening the door and leaping out the Beechcraft King Air 200 on Wednesday. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in an airport in Cambridge Bay, according to police who met the pilots and the passenger on the ground.
