Carjackers Hangs Florida Woman's Baby Outside Window During Theft
A Central Florida woman who was carjacked at gunpoint is still getting over the experience that included the gunman dangling her 10-month-old daughter upside down by her feet outside the vehicle window. The carjacking happened Friday shortly before noon when a gunman ambushed Alyssa Gould in her SUV at an intersection. The carjacker opened the driver's side door and put a gun in her face, then unbuckled her baby and dangled the infant by her feet.
Three Dead After Shoot Out In San Francisco Hair Salon
Three people including one police officer are dead after a fatal shoot-out at Martinez hair salon Saturday in the San Francisco Bay area. According to The Mercury News, the estranged husband of the salon owner, Felix Sandoval, came to the salon angry, shattered the front window of the shop and entered the unlocked door waving a gun. The salon had several customers at the time, including a wedding party. Most of the customers ran out a back door.
Chinese Endangered Panda's Give Birth To Four New Cubs In One Night
Four pandas, including a set of twins, were born in captivity within 14 hours of each other in China. The births, Saturday and into Sunday, were all at the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre in south-west Sichuan province, the largest facility for captive Panda's in the world with 71 panda's, according to China's official news station, Xinhua.
Seattle Cyclists Comes To Blows With Driver During 'Critical Mass'
A driver was injured by a group of cyclists Friday after several from the group became violent when he attempted to drive his vehicle through the mass of bicycle riders. The group of bikers came together, as they do every last Friday in Seattle, to ride in a "Critical Mass Ride," which one web site says is an event "to celebrate cycling and to assert cyclists' right to the road."
Road Rage Behavior Linked To Number Of Car Stickers
With soaring gas prices, it is not surprising to hear that incidents of road rage are on the rise. A study by a Colorado State University social psychologist said there is a better predictor of road rage behavior among American motorists. According to William Szlemko, in his recent study published at the Journal of Applied Social Psychology, the more a driver has bumper stickers, window decals, personalized licensed plates and other territorial markers on his vehicle, the greater is his tendency to get mad when someone cuts into his lane.
