Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes Into California Congressman's Office

A man believed to have been drunk led police on a chase through Interstate 805, stopping only after he crashed into the office of U.S. Rep. Bob Filner (D-CA).

Chula Vista police began chasing a silver truck driven by an unidentified man at about 1:30 am on Sunday on Route 54, according to reports. An officer had tried to stop the truck for speeding, but the driver headed toward Interstate 805 and exited at Bonita Road. Police were briefly able to stop the truck, which was going in speeds of up to 110 miles per hour, with a spike strip.

A Briton who lost one eye and blinded the other in an accident was able to see again after part of his tooth was implanted in his eye socket as part of a unique sight-restoration surgery.

Four Canadian patients got on Wednesday new kidneys from live donors in a simultaneous kidney swap surgeries that took place in Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto.

The operations were done at 10:30 a.m. at the Toronto General Hospital, University of Alberta Hospital and the St. Paul's Hospital. The organ donors were not related to the recipients of the kidney, although the relative of the recipient will still donate a kidney, which in turn is passed on to another stranger.
