Baby Girl Born 22 Years After Father Froze Sperm As A Teen

Twenty two years after a North Carolina man had his sperm frozen after being diagnosed with leukemia, his wife gave birth to their daughter, who was conceived with the frozen sample.

Chris Bilbis' sperm sample was stored in 1986, and the little girl was conceived when the sperm was implanted in his wife, Melody, in July 2008. That 22-year time lapse is a world record, the Times of London reported.

Teen Birthrate In U.S. Goes Up For 2nd Straight Year

Young American women between the ages 15 to 19 who got pregnant went up by 3.4 percent, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. It is the second straight year that teen birthrates rose in 2006 to 2007, reversing 14 consecutive years of declines.

In 2005 to 2006, teen birthrates grew 1.4 percent.

Brooklyn Student Arrested At School With Ingredients, Internet Instructions For Making Bomb

A 14-year-old high school student in New York City was arrested with materials, and instructions, for making a bomb in his backpack after a teacher overheard him talking to another student about making a bomb.

Authorities were summoned to Midwood High School in Brooklyn and pulled the student out of class. When they searched his backpack they found Liquid Plumber and three kinds of deodorant, along with instructions that had been printed from the Internet on how to use those items to create a chemical reaction device.
