Suicide Of Dying Paralytic Broadcast Britain's National TV

The first real-life euthanasia documentary aired Wednesday on Britain's national TV received mixed reviews from pro-life and assisted suicide advocates.

The wife of motor neurone disease (MND) sufferer Craig Ewert, who drank a fatal dose of barbiturates before stopping his ventilator at a euthanasia clinic in Switzerland in September 2006, defended the action of her husband to take his own life and the filming of his death.

Suicide Of Ex-Argentine Police Chief Shown On TV

Sixty-three year-old Mario Ferreyra, former commander of the Argentina police gave an interview to a television crew, and with the camera still rolling, pulled out a gun from his boot and shot himself.

Ferreyra, also known as "El Malevo," was accused of being involved in the kidnapping and torture of dissidents during the 1973-83 dictatorship in Argentina, also known as the "The Dirty War," that has left thousands disappeared.

Man Burns In-Laws To Death In Austria

An Austrian man allegedly killed his in-laws when he set their home on fire with a flame-thrower. He then attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the stomach.

Austrian police told reporters that the 48-year-old man poured gasoline in a room in the 84-year-old couple's home before lighting a propane gas bottle and throwing it into the gasoline. The woman was a diabetic amputee and was burned alive. Her husband managed to escape, but his body was found lying on a bench near the couple's home.

Suicide Try Of Old Widow Prompts Fannie Mae To Cancel Foreclosure, Give Away House

Fannie Mae has written off the delinquent loan of a 90-year-old widow, who shot herself twice when sheriff's deputies tried to evict her from her foreclosed home here on Wednesday.

"We're going to forgive whatever outstanding balance she had on the loan and give her the house," Fannie Mae spokesman Brian Faith told CNN on Friday.

Adolph Hitler's Wax Statue Returns To Madame Toussaud's In Berlin After Beheading

The wax likeness of Adolph Hitler is back on display in Berlin's new Madame Tussaud's wax museum after being beheaded by a German man only hours after its initial debut earlier this summer.

The controversial figure is included in the museum along with other famous and influential German's including Albert Einstein, Karl Marx, and Ludwig Van Beethoven.
