Police Use Google Street View To Find Nine-Year-Old Missing Girl
A nine-year-old girl, who went missing as she was allegedly abducted by her grandmother, was tracked down by police using Google's Street View on the internet and a mobile phone signal. Natalie Maltais went missing on Saturday after her grandmother Rose M. Maltais, 52, did not return with her following a weekend away, the officials based in Athol, Massachusetts said.
U.S. Army Sending Letters Of Apology To Families Of Dead Soldiers Addressed As "John Doe"
The U.S. Army is sending letters of apology to 7,000 families of fallen soldiers after they were addressed as "John Doe" instead of their names in letters sent to them in December. The U.S. Army said Wednesday on its website its Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. is sending a personal letter to the offended families who have children who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

While millions of Americans are expected to jostle for choice spots on Jan. 20 for the historic inaugural of the first black U.S. president, some residents of Washington are temporarily fleeing the area away from the maddening crowds. Tour agencies are grabbing the business opportunities the situation offers by coming up with affordable escape inauguration tour packages. Among those making the most of the desire of district residents to be away during the Jan. 20 week are a ski resort in West Virginia and hotels on Florida's Amelia Island which are offering discounted tours to residents of the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
'America's Most Wanted' Couple Captured Following Six Day Manhunt
U.S. Marshals and San Antonio police have arrested a couple wanted for killing a man and beating five people in three states after a six day manhunt. Jason Betts, 24, and Mithrellas Curtis, 23, who have been featured on the TV program "America's Most Wanted" for their crimes, were found inside their getaway van parked in Cobblestone Village on the Northeast Side on Sunday, after police traced a local call made by Curtis.

As the Jan. 20 presidential inauguration rite fast approaches, U.S. residents who share the same surname as President-elect Barack Obama are recognizing the value of sharing the same rare moniker. The privilege of enjoying the perks of having an Obama surname is accorded few U.S. residents because according to databases there are probably less than 20 Obama families in the United States, while Whitepages.com shows 70 Obamas on its roster. However, there are 11,000 Clintons and 60,000 Bushes.
