Man Demanding Money Settles Down On Wine And Hugs Instead

An attempted robbery at a Capitol Hill home took a bizarre turn when the intruder apparently got emotional and left with nothing but a glass of wine and some hugs. Michael Rabdau, 51, was enjoying dinner with his family during a get together at a friend's place last month when a hooded man slid in through an open gate and pointed the gun at his teenage daughter demanding money.

While everyone froze, one of the guests stood up and offered the man to have a glass of wine with the dining group.

Judge Loses Pants, $67 Million Lawsuit

A judge ruled in favor of a dry cleaner Monday in a bizarre lawsuit that saw the small business sued for $54 million over a pair of missing pants.

District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Judith Bartnoff ruled that the owners of Custom Cleaners did not violate the city's laws on consumer protection by failing to live up to Roy Pearson's expectations of the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign that was displayed in the window.

Monkey Excapes Zoo, Rides A Bus And Then Bites A Woman

In a bizarre chase for zoo officials, a spider monkey not only escaped from a Mexico City zoo but also boarded a bus. If this was not enough for his antics, the monkey also attacked a passenger during its ride.

According to Red Cross officials, the monkey boarded the bus at about 11 pm Monday after escaping from the San Juan de Aragon Zoo. It then sat next to the bus driver for almost an hour as he drove through the city.

April Fools: Google Offers Free Internet Through Toilet

Head Honchos at Google Inc. thought it would be funny to pull an elaborate prank on their customers for April Fools Day telling them they could get free Internet access through their toilet.

Google's "Toilet Internet Service Provider" (TiSP) came complete with a mock press release, FAQs, and a step-by-step online installation manual. The release said access is "free to any consumer with a WiFi-capable PC and a toilet connected to a local municipal sewage system."

Diver Breaks Leg While Swimming With Whales

Randy Thornton's swimming adventure earlier this month was skewed after one of his fellow swimmers, a humpback whale, flipped its tail. The 50-year-old diver had to be hospitalized for a broken femur at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Center in Sandy.

The incident happened on March 1 during an excursion trip in the Dominican Republic. Thornton and 17 other divers were on the last dive of the last day of their weeklong trip to the reefs called the Silver Banks, an area where divers are allowed to swim with humpback whales.
