Study Finds American Women Pay More Than Men For Health Insurance
A comparison of health insurance premiums between genders showed that females are charged higher fees compared to males. The findings led women's advocacy groups to question the higher rates, while Congress is starting to probe into the reasons behind the difference. The disparities were discovered in premiums of major health insurers such as Humana, UnitedHealth, Aetna, Anthem and eHealth.
Six People Aboard Two Planes That Collided In Midair Survive
Six people miraculously survived after two planes they were riding landed safely after colliding with each other over Grand Junction, Colorado on Wednesday. The Cesna 210 plane flown by two sheriff deputies and carrying two prisoners to a Colorado Department of Corrections facility returned and landed safely at the Grand Junction Regional Airport with its front landing gear unreleased while a Cesna 180 with a father and son aboard landed upside down in a field 15 miles southeast of the airport, Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus told the Denver Post.

Roman Catholic nuns Sister Ardeth Platte, 72, and Sister Carol Gilbert, 60, who spent over four decades promoting peace and protesting against nuclear weapons, discovered they had been listed as terrorists. They found out about being wrongly listed as suspected terrorists in a federal database in 2005-2006 when they received letters from the Maryland State Police after they returned from a two-week trip.
University Chaplain Arrested For E-mailing Video Pornography
Students and faculty members at the St. John's University in Queens, New York City were shocked after authorities arrested university chaplain Father Charles Plock for allegedly emailing pornographic videos to an investigator guised as a 14-year-old. Plock, 64, was charged after a Colorado police detective posing as a young boy received two home video containing scenes of Plock masturbating in his bathroom's apartment inside the campus.
Plotters Attempt To Kill Colorado Mom For Girlfriend's Breast-Implant Money
An 18-year-old man is accused of plotting his mother's death with three others so he could have access to her money to buy his girlfriend breast implants. According to the Denver Channel, Nikita Weis hired two young men for a total of $7,000 to kill his mother and dispose of her body. However, when the victim, Hyun Weis, was attacked Thursday in her home with a small souvenir baseball bat, she was able to escape after using the panic button on her key chain to set off her car alarm, causing the assailant to flee.
