Danish Police Find $1 Million Worth Of Heroin Inside Swords

Danish police find more than $1 million worth of heroin stashed inside the blades of 25 antique sword replicas.

Reuters reports the drugs were smuggled into the country in hollowed-out blades from Pakistan.

32 Arrested in "Operation Carpetbagger"

After a year-long investigation, 32 South Floridians are being charged with drug-related crimes. The group is responsible for actions taken out under "Operation Carpetbagger."

U.S. Attorney R. Alexander Acosta says the investigation into "Operation Carpetbagger" focused on heroin smuggling and distribution organization, mainly in Palm Beach County.

Dutch Reporter To Take Drugs On TV

Talk about gonzo journalism. Producers say a field reporter for a Dutch television talk show plans to use heroin and other illegal drugs on the air during a weekly program on issues concerning young people.

"Shoot Up and Swallow," which is scheduled to premiere as a late-night show Oct. 10, has sparked an outcry in the infamously liberal Netherlands, where marijuana is sold and used openly. The proposed drug use by reporter Filemon Wesselink, however, is illegal.
