Portly Man Charged Extra, Banned By Restaurant
A 6-foot-3, 265-pound man complained that an all-you-can-eat buffet overcharged him and an in-law, accusing the restaurant of discriminating them because of their size. Ricky Labit made the accusation against the Manchuria Restaurant located in Houma, at which he had been a regular for eight months. According to him, as he and his wife's cousin were about to eat their meal, a waitress then delivered a bill for $46.40, which was double the usual charge for the adult buffet price.
Restaurant Bans 'Hearty Eater' For Eating Too Much
A 265-pound man claims that a restaurant he frequents because of its "eat-all-you-can" buffet promo, has banned him from eating again in the eatery because "he and his companion eats too much." But a spokesman for the restaurant denies the claim. Ricky Labit, a disabled offshore worker, said he had been visiting the Manchuria Restaurant in Houma and eating there at least three times a week. He claims he had been a regular customer of Manchuria for eight months.
1,850 Ticket Holders Win Spain's $3.1 Million Lottery Jackpot
It was a festive and rich Christmas for 1,850 Spaniards holding the winning number 06381 for Spain's lottery. With a $3.1 million jackpot, the winners received $430,000 each. The jackpot money was spread across 11 Spanish provinces where the tickets were sold, including Madrid, Barcelona and Alicante. In contrast, ticket holders of the second prize all came from Barcelona.

A cat called Wild Oats went for 19 whole days with a jar on its head, to the frustration and the concern of a woman who has been feeding it for years. Tabitha Cain recalled seeing the cat with an empty peanut butter jar on its head, and tried to catch it to get the jar off.
Fat Squirrel Trapped in Bird Feeder After Overindulging On Peanuts
A grey squirrel had to be rescued from a bird feeder after eating so many peanuts that it could not squeeze itself out through the bars, the RSPCA (Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty against Animals) said Thursday. A worried resident in Dorset, England, called RSPCA inspector Graham Hammond on October 17 after finding the squirrel stuck in the peanut-filled feeder.
