New Low Cost Airline Offers Flights Under $10
A new low-cost carrier JetAmerica is offering bargain-basement prices on flights from Newark Airport in New Jersey to Lansing, Mich., South Bend, Ind., and Melbourne, Fla. The no-frills startup airline offers discounted one-way tickets for the extremely low price of nine dollars a flight. Between nine and 19 seats on every flight will be sold for nine bucks, but after that, tickets may top off at $199, spokesman Bryan Glazer said.
Man Detained At Airport Because Cancer Drug Made His Fingerprints Disappear
A man taking an effective drug for head and neck cancer was detained at a United States airport in 2008 because the drug caused his fingerprints to become undetectable. The 62-year-old man, who was flying to the United States from Canada, was taking the drug capecitabine, which is an anti-metabolite drug, for treatment of his cancer after a successful round of chemotherapy. But one of the side effects of the drug can be hand-foot syndrome - a chronic inflammation of the palms or soles of the feet, which can cause the skin to peel, bleed and develop ulcers.
Drunk Pilot Arrested Before Flying Plane To Chicago
Police in London have arrested a drunk American Airlines pilot before he could fly a plane with 204 passengers from Heathrow Airport to Chicago, USA. The pilot, whose name was not revealed, was arrested after he failed a breathalyzer test, American Airlines said in a statement issued Thursday. The alcohol test was conducted by police called in by airport security staff who noticed the pilot was drunk.

A fan at a recent Mets game ended up in the bathroom with her arm stuck in a toilet, all because she was trying to retrieve her gold tooth that fell in.
