University Offers Classes In Whips And Chains

The University of Toronto is offering undergraduates a program in which they can learn about sexual role-play, flogging and restraint. The Sexual Diversity Program, established eight years ago, brings an academic approach to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and heterosexual issues. The professors at the university say it's a serious field of study.

Director David Rayside tells Reuters, "It's a very serious analytical exercise, and it isn't what a lot of people think it is." "A lot of the people from the university, from the president on down, think that what we're doing is important work," Rayside says. "But there's still a lot entailed at persuading more people that what we're doing is legitimate."

'Sexy Dress' Banned For Female Officers In Chinese Province

Female officers in Communication Department of eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang, are not allowed to wear sexy dress when they are on duty, a Zhejiang newspaper reported Thursday.

Their male counterpart will not be allowed to grow beards and go shirtless, report said.

Poland Halts Sexy Ads During Pope's Visit

In response to Pope Benedict's ongoing visit to Poland, authorities have placed a temporary ban on sexy ads and liquor across regions the Pope plans on visiting.

According to Reuters, sexy ads like that of a woman's nude backside and thigh on a huge poster were wrapped, when a Roman Catholic group denounced them as offensive to the Pope's trip. Even newspapers held off on publishing their usual photos of topless beauty queens, which always appear on the back pages of many Polish tabloids.
