Three Canadian trekkers broke world record for the fastest trip across Antarctica to the South Pole.

Ray Zahab, Kevin Valley and Richard Weber reached South Pole Wednesday after walking unaided through 1,300 kilometers on skis, snowshoes and foot in 33 days, 23 hours and 30 minutes.

Lawyer Seeks Total Ban Of Google Earth In India

An Indian lawyer has asked the Mumbai High Court to totally ban Google Earth claiming that terrorists who attacked the financial center last month used maps freely available from the satellite imaging website.

In his petition filed on Monday, Amit Karkhanis also sought a complete ban on similar sites, including the online map website Wikimapia, in the interest of national security.

A 22-year-old farmer from the Philippines is facing up to 12 years imprisonment if found guilty of killing and eating an endangered and one of the rarest eagles in the world.

Philippine Environment and Natural Resources Lito Atienza said Brian Balaon, has admitted of shooting the three-year-old Philippine eagle, one of the world's largest eagles, that was recently released by wildlife authorities on July 10.

Ten people including three children were safely rescued by a fishing vessel in Aleutian Islands after being trapped as a volcano erupted, spewing rocks and ash.

Since last year, more than 40 pet bunny-rabbits have been killed in the night in their outdoor hutches. The killer takes the head and collects the blood, leading investigators to think that the animal killer is involved in the occult or Satanism.
