Texan Arrested for Saving Drowning Swimmer

A man is arrested by authorities who claim he was interferring, after saving a swimmer caught in swirling river currents.

Dave Newman disobeyed repeated orders to leave the water. After rescuing the swimmer, he was charged with interferring with public duties. After Abed Duamni, 35 of Houston, Texas thanked Newman for saving his life in front of the police, he was taken into custody and later released on $2,000 bail.

Gandi And Curry May Go Hand In Hand

Mahatma Gandhi's family is pleading with the Indian government to force an Australian food take-out restaurant called Handi Ghandi -- "Great Curries...No Worries" -- to stop using the vegetarian pacifist to sell its food.

According to its Web site ( www.handighandi.com ), the company sells a range of meat and vegetarian curries -- including beef, which is sacred to Hindus and forbidden.
