Hundreds of bike riders shed their clothing and rode through the capital of Spain Saturday protesting the overuse of automobiles, and celebrating the simplicity of bicycles and the human body.

According to the World Naked Bike Ride Website, the annual ride is held in cities all over the world "to celebrate cycling and the human body. The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against oil dependency."

A 31-year-old man had to be rescued Sunday from a Lebanon, Pennsylvania port-o-potty after getting stuck, naked and waist deep, in the holding tank.

Shannon P. Hunter was drunk when firefighters arrived on the scene. According to the York Daily record, emergency crews had to cut away the toilet around Hunter because he was wedged in tightly. He told them he was drunk and fell in, but only shrugged his shoulders when they asked why he was nude.

Hundreds of Liberian women refugees have been arrested after going nude to protest plans by the Ghanaian government to send them West for resettlement with $100 instead of the $1,000 they are demanding.

"When women strip themselves naked and stand by a major highway, that is not a peaceful demonstration," Interior Minister Kwamena Bartels told the BBC's Network Africa program.

A man already arrested for running naked up and down a local street was further charged for kicking puddles of urine on deputies questioning him on his streaking.

Early Wednesday morning authorities of Arapahoe County received reports of a man running naked in the street. The police responded by going to the house of 28-year old Kevin Lininger, who was clothed in his home when they arrived.

On July 5, the first special flight that will allow passengers to fly in their birthday suit, naked that is, will take off from Erfurt in Southeast Germany to its destination in the island of Usedom off Baltic Sea.

"All the passengers will fly naked, but they are only allowed to undress once they are in the plane. But then they will be able to enjoy the hour-long flight in the way God intended," Enrico Hess, the founder of the travel company OssiUrlaub, has been quoted as saying.
