Shoe Found On Washington Beach With Human Bones In It

Forensic examination of the bones contained in an athletic shoe found Friday on a beach near here indicate it is from a human foot.

Police in Clallam County announced the finding by the King County Medical Examiner on Monday. However, forensic experts are not sure if the foot belongs to a man or a woman.

Boy, 12, Survives Rare Parkinson's Disease

A 12-year-old boy here was cured of a rare form of Parkinson's disease after taking drugs to treat the neurological and muscular disorder.

Parkinson's expert Dr. Ali Rajput in Saskatchewan province prescribed Sinemet to Andrew Carnegie after diagnosing him with hemiparkinsonism-hemiatrophy syndrome (HSS) in May. The drug instantly eliminated symptoms of the disease and now the boy can move normally.

Prisoner Who Slimmed Down To Escape Cell Through Air-Conditioning Vent Caught

The skinny prisoner who escaped his jail cell through an air-conditioning vent last weekend has been caught.

The Houston Chronicle reported that Darryl Layne Norris, 26, was arrested Tuesday night after police tracked him to a Houston hotel. He was found swimming in the pool.

Accused Murderer In Texas Uses Air Conditioner Vent To Escape Jail

Police are looking for an accused murderer who escaped from The Waller County Jail in Texas during the early morning hours on Saturday.

Darryl Layne Norris, 26, was jailed in April with an accomplice, both charged with a death in connection with a convenience store robbery.
