Four robbers dressed as women stole over $100 million worth of jewelry from one of Paris' most prestigious jewelry stores. Hit by the robbery was the Harry Winston store, located near the Champs-Elysee.

It was the second robbery to hit the same shop in almost 14 months. At that time the thieves got only $13 million (10 million euro) worth of valuables.

The unnamed couple, who married in 2006, had mutually agreed to the annulment of their marriage after the husband learned she was no longer a virgin as she had claimed and she admitted having pre-marital sex.

University Students Working On Anti-Cancer Beer

A team of Rice University students are trying to create a beer that contains the same chemical in red wine thought to reduce cancer and heart disease in lab animals.

The students' brew is called "Bio-beer" and it uses a yeast genetically engineered to produce resveratrol, a natural compound found in red wine.

A wanted Mafia member's attempt to alter his physical appearance to elude police has failed when he was arrested at a liposuction clinic in the Calabrian city of Consenza.

Police served the warrant of arrest on Domenico Magnoli, 27, of the Ndrangheta clan, when he woke up after the operation to remove fats on his stomach and thighs. The member of the powerful 'Ndrangheta clan, which is notorious for using the huge Gioia Tauro container port for its drug trafficking business, is also wanted by the French police for drug trafficking activities in France.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin was the victim of a prank call from a Canadian radio comedian posing as the French president.

The Alaskan governor thought she was talking on the phone to President Nicolas Sarkozy during a six-minute radio conversation aired on a Montreal radio station.
