Space Tourist, Tour Agency Battle In Court Over Canceled Trip
A Virginia court on Friday heard arguments in a lawsuit pitting a space tour agency and a Japanese millionaire seeking a $21 million refund for a canceled trip to space. Lawyers of Daisuke Enomoto, who paid Virginia-based Space Adventures $21 million for a tour in orbit and the International Space Station (ISS) in 2006, told U.S. District Judge James Cacheris that he should be refunded the amount after the firm disqualified him from the tour and replaced him with another space tourist because he refused to invest in the company.
Amtrak Auto Train Passengers Driving Home After Train Car Cracks Cause Cancellation Of Service

The announcement stunned some stranded vacationing passengers in Florida who had to choose between staying longer in the sunshine state or using their cars to make the long drive home.
U.S. Army Promotion Makes First Female 4-Star General
A female general of the U.S. Army made military history Friday by becoming the first female four-star general. Gen. Ann Dunwoody, 55, of Virginia, was promoted to the rank during a well-attended ceremony for that purpose at the Pentagon. Defense Secretary Robert Gates, all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Central Command Commander Gen. David Petraeus were present in the rite.
Squirrel Caused Power Outage In Richmond, Virginia
Curiosity killed the squirrel and left thousands of Richmond, Virginia residents without power for several hours. A squirrel reportedly caused a short circuit in an electrical substation, leaving a large area of downtown Richmond without electricity on Friday from 9 a.m. until early afternoon. Crews making repairs to the facility have to shut down a second substation.
