Drunk Frenchman Rings Vatican Bell, Gets Arrested

A drunken, barefoot Frenchman was reportedly seized by the authorities after he managed to ring a bell in the facade of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.

Reports said the man, believed to be homeless, entered St. Peter's by climbing up scaffolding around the Arch of the Bells, which is undergoing restoration and reconditioning.

Homeless Man Set On Fire

A homeless man suffered third degree burns to six percent of his body after he was set on fire by a homeless man in a broad daylight Tuesday.

36-year-old Christopher Peacock, homeless, was lying on a park bench near the corner of Riley and Foveaux St. when Stephen John Coates, 57,set him on fire with flammable liquid.

Survey: 5,400 Homeless, Jobless Japanese Live In Net Cafés

In Japan, the Internet café has become a substitute for home. A survey of Japan's ministry of health indicated that the number of people who sleeps over at 24-hour Internet cafes for having no home or job total 5,400 nationwide, the Kyodo News reported.

According to investigators, the cat woke its owner at the Capri Mobile Home Park, and alerted him to the flames engulfing the home around 3 a.m. Monday.

81-Year-Old Man Pedals Around Arizona For Charity Mission

An 81-year-old man has taken up a tough mission for his age to be able to help an aid organization for homeless people. Bill Anderson of Yuma will be bicycling around Arizona's perimeter; a 2,000-mile trek that he expects will take two weeks to cover.

According to Anderson his biking tour is dedicated to raise awareness about hunger and homelessness, while collecting donations from volunteers on the way.
