Turkey Testicle Festival To Keep Name

The Fort Myers Beach Council voted 4-1 in favor of allowing the Surf Club bar to make use of the name Turkey Testicle Festival.

Councilman Charles Meador said this year's festival will be the fourth and cited more than 12 other cities that allow annual events with the word "testicle."

Frenchman Makes Record By Running From Paris To Tokyo

Frenchman Serge Girard on Tuesday completed an epic 260-day run from Paris to Tokyo, making him the sole runner to have raced the distance across all continents. The 52-year-old insurance worker also breaks the previous world record of the longest journey without a full day of rest.

Girard was greeted by a small crowd and his three children, when he arrived at a hotel in Tokyo. He ran about 45 miles a day, guided by satellite through the Global Positioning System, to complete the 11,840 miles journey in over eight months. Girard set off his marathon from Paris on December 18.

Woman Sees Man Who Robbed Her Getting On The Same Flight

A woman is shocked to see the man who robbed her back in Germany waiting to get on her flight in Turkey.

The 37-year-old woman was held up and robbed in her Berlin apartment earlier this month.

She saw the 25-year-old robber at an airport in Antalya, and called her husband.

Engineers Discover 1,500-year-old Byzantine Port

Turkish Engineers discovered the ruins of an ancient Byzantine port as they drilled a huge underground rail tunnel. The ancient port, which is at least 1500 years old, harbored abandoned buildings, crumbling walls, trash and broken wine bottles.

It is common for residents of most great historic cities to uncover important relics each time they dig deep into the earth. But there was more to the uncovering of the ancient port in the Yenikapi neighborhood.

Shoe Sale Leaves One Arrested, One In Hospital

Chaos during a shoe sale Friday resulted in one customer being rushed to the hospital after being shot in the foot.

Customers overloaded a two story retail store in Karabuk, which was selling shoes for a little as $6. When store owners tried to close its doors due to the large crowd customers rebelled and fights began to break out.
