Salsa Instructors Ordered To Return $8 Million Deposit For Lessons

A court orders Salsa instructors in Hong Kong to return $8 million to a well-known banker for lessons she never received.

Monica Wong, 61, agreed to pay $15.4 million to dance teachers Mirko Saccani and his wife, Gaynor Fairweather, for unlimited private lessons and competitions from 2004 until 2012.

Wong is the head of HSBC's private banking unit in Asia and the daughter of a shipping tycoon.

Cow Chip Throwing Competition

Cow chip throwers are coming together this weekend to compete for the title of top dung hurler. The Illinois Championship Cow Chip Throw is being held at the Chatham Jaycees Sweet Corn Festival.

Competitors pay $5 each for the opportunity to hurl two patties as far as they can. Expert cow chip throwers have been known to throw chips more than 200 feet.

Apparently, a wife isn't exactly what one Russian man is looking for; farmer Boris Gabov is seeking permission from the President to marry his beloved cow.

Russian reports indicate that Gabov had asked Russian President Vladimir Putin for permission to marry his cow during a recent webcast in which Russians were able to e-mail the president and ask him anything.

Kobayashi Downs Nearly 54 Hot Dogs To Win Contest

Takeru Kobayashi captured his sixth straight title at the Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs Independence Day eating contest at Coney Island boardwalk Tuesday afternoon. Kobayashi set a new record by downing 53 3/4 dogs, winning the Yellow Mustard belt.

Kobayashi set the record two years ago by eating 53 1/2 of Nathan's best. According to the Associated Press, the famed eater once ate 17.7 pounds of pan-seared cow brains to win $25,000.
